When is strawberry pie week this year?
I think it is in May.
They are open the other 5 days
Yes! Excellent food!
Yes, they sure do. When you get there, just ask the hostess. It's on the right side and there's a photo of JFK sitting there.
No, I wish.

No. But you may be subject to standing in line. It is not unbearable. They have a full staff and a good flow.
No.
Yes...
Greatest spaghetti on Earth. Atmosphere second to none. Service excellent
Loved my spaghetti and chocolate cake.
Great experience and food
Great food at a reasonable price. Also a very clean place. Will definitely go back!
We heard this place was awesome and the spaghetti and steak were the best around. I got the spaghetti with a salad and French bread. It reminded me of what they used to serve in the school cafeteria. I was very disappointed. The staff was very friendly and the service was good.
Classic Americana! The meaty spaghetti sauce is outstanding!
No, no, and no sir. This is where you go if you want to over pay for spaghetti that was likely left over from a school's cafeteria.
There is no other place to eat in Huntington (unless Jim's is closed)! Love it here, outside of when it's busy and you have people standing overtop of you with their butts in your face. Always leave full and happy.
Always the best spaghetti for years. Great staff, great food.
Quaint restaurant with a retro, 50s Diner kinda feel. Waitresses in old-fashioned garments, hostess to seat us, counter seats in the center of the place - great atmosphere! Food was excellent and came at very economical prices. Staff was good-natured and fun to talk to, asked about a JFK photo on the wall and was informed that he visited here back in 1960! Had a plate of spaghetti and apple pie for dessert, couldn't ask for a better dinner. A well-deserved reputation as a must-see restaurant in Huntington!
We split a fish dinner for lunch! It was wonderful. The side salad was great and I loved the ice they had for the water. Service was on point and the coconut cream pie was delicious. We need to go back to try the spaghetti!
I enjoyed the quaint decor, service and atmosphere that Jim's Steak & Spaghetti have been able to keep relevant for decades. This is a unique restaurant that I would recommend the everyone experience at least once.
Good food and desert. Fast service even when they were busy.
Love this place! Jimmie and company always offer excellent dining at fair pricing and as always the service is second to none.
Love their slaw and spaghetti.
Enjoyed relaxing afternoon and great food.
Amazing family resturaunt! I grew up going here and now I take my 1 year old. Such a welcoming atmosphere and amazing food! Everything is delicious!!
It's like stepping back in time; just a really neat place. Food and service has been great every time.
Wonderful, homey place with super-cool mid-century decor. Of course, the food is amazing. Great pasta and fabulous pies. The family atmosphere is enhanced by the sweet staff who treats you like you're kin! A must visit in Huntington. :)
This place is pretty good. It's just not my food style. I feel like they should extend their menu.
This place is AWESOME. I loved it. It is super cool because it is trapped in a time warp and I say that in a good way. The place is super clean but it looks like it is from the mid fifths. The waitresses where dresses - real Americona. The menu is simple and the food was awesome. I had the small spaghetti dinner with coleslaw and rolls but also ordered the steak burger with cheese. The meat spaghetti sauce is great and the spaghetti was great. I really liked the coleslaw. The steak burger was really good. The service was super. I would eat there again when I am in the area.Only down side is they only except cash no credit cards or debit cards. This is a very cool place...
Jim’s is a staple of the community. Great food and service that never goes out of style. Come and check out all the stardom memorabilia around the booths and enjoy a great meal.
When I googled restaurants in the area and saw this one I had to go eat the just because of my younger son Jim who passed away 6 years ago and it being Jim's Steak & Spaghetti...It was the best!! ***** of course I ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. It was delicious... I ordered the meal that came with slaw and I chose ice tea and hot roll. The slaw was served first and ice never seen slaw made like that before! It was so good, refreshing taste and just the right sweetness to it. It looked like a scoop of ice cream! Then i had to have the Carmel Swirl Apple pie Alamode and that was fabulous! I will probably eat the again tomorrow!I loved the ambiance of the past and the uniforms and old time clean feel of a real diner!! It's good when things stay the same and I'm sure that goes for the quality of their food as well. It's definitely a hit!!
I heard from the locals in Huntington that this was the place to eat. I went down and it was by far the best spaghetti I've ever had. I honestly regret not buying a quart of sauce To Go to take home on my roadtrip. The servers were so kind and welcoming. Its the kind of local spot that lives up to its legend
Highly recommend...staff and manager made us feel at home...first time visitors all get sweet treat FREE...bring cash...no credit taken
Great food. Reasonably priced. Exceptional service.
Love Jim's best food in town!!
A go to place in Huntington. Excellent food and fair prices. Parking is a bit cumbersome but 25 cents will get you an hour parking.
Good. Classic. Solid. Nostalgic. I had the salad but should have gone for the homemade coleslaw instead. Opted for the the ravioli, good portions and filling, meat sauce is default. Bread basket and butter were served at the table. Had the chocolate pie, with a very nice whipped topping and coffee to finish.
5 star quality. A must go to if your in Huntington
I really like this place, I would not recommend anything but the Spaghetti. That is what they do well and it is what they are famous for. They do have some weird hours so check on those before you go.
Never fails to delight. Food is always good and service is great. Love all the changes. Keep up the good work
The spaghetti and bread was phenomenal. But I'll tell you something, their slaw was amazing. It was just so good. And the staff were on top of everything we asked for.
I Love this place ! If I can't decide what I want ,I go here , because legendary recipe for the spaghetti sauce and strawberry pie !
The spaghetti sauce is great turned into a chili mac and cheese pasta. One of my favorite meals.
My grandparents lived near Huntington for the longest time, and still go to their eye doctor in the area. Whenever they go, I ride along and we make a day trip out of it. Jim's is always our lunch spot. The vibe inside is old-timey, especially with the waitresses outfits, but that's as Jim would have wanted it! I hear so many cool stories from my grandparents about him, as they knew him personally. Not only is the service amazing, but the food is even better. I'll have to be making a trip down with them soon. There isn't a parking lot, so make sure you're comfortable parking on the street!
A staple of Huntington, Jim's has been around for generations to enjoy. The food leaves nothing to complain about, delicious and healthy portions. Stepping into the restaurant is almost like going back in time to a classic diner down to the modest small drinking glasses but don't worry the staff will make sure the glass never runs dry. Not only was my waitress extremely helpful but any staff walking by made sure to check on us. Everyone's a genuine friendly face. If available you can dine at the same table that JFK, John Kerry, and Bill Clinton ate at. The foods priced fair but be advised they don't accept plastic so bring cash or you can use the ATM by the front door.
This place is an institution! You MUST go here if you are in Huntington. Old Ohio River food like my granny made. I suggest spaghetti with meat sauce or the fish. Coleslaw is sweet. Ask for homemade pie.
This is truly a Huntington landmark. Be prepared to be transported back in time to the 1960's. The atmosphere (counter, booths, China, and wait staff), is just like it was when JFK visited here while campaigning. I'm partial to the spaghetti with meat sauce(with homemade cole slaw) and rye bread. Also very good is the halibut. Remember the old commercial about "they don't take American Express"... That's this place, except they don't take ANY cards. There is now an ATM inside for you to withdraw cash. Give Jim's a try if not for the good food, for the nostalgia.
James Beard award winning! Actually ate there twice today. Lunch was spaghetti and Haddock for supper. Both were good, but Haddock was superb!! Great homemade oil and vinegar dressing for the salad. Homemade tartar sauce with the fish...great!
Great, old-fashioned food! Do not leave without trying the fried, Icelandic haddock and the homemade tartar sauce (some of the best on the planet)! Oil and vinegar dressing on the salad is also one of my favorites (all of the homemade dressing a perfection). Marshall students receive FREE PIE when they present their MUID. I’m too old and fat to enjoy that benefit these days, but it was sooo great when I was in college! This place is seemingly a no-frills, old fashioned diner, but the greatness is in the details: homemade dishes, sauces, and deserts, and unbeatable, timely service by some of the most professional, well-trained servers in the area. The place operates like a piece of well adjusted clockwork, evidence of Jim Tweel’s decades of hard work and business sense. Eat here!!
I love Jim's. The atmosphere is fun, the food is good, and the staff members are very nice. They have even hired their first Male waiter in 80 years! I would recommend Jim's to anyone who likes spaghetti. One thing to be aware of is that they do not accept credit/debit cards (I don't find this a downside. It's just something to be aware of).
My first time in town and I was lucky enough to find this wonderful place to eat.
Want to take a break from all the stress of the modern every day world? Even if just for lunch or dinner, it feels like stepping back in time when things were a lot less complicated. The food is delicious too. I usually order the bigger meat sauce spaghetti so I can take some home but the fish is wonderful too. Great place to take the family, something for everyone. Also make sure to try the Boston Cream Pie!
I always love this place my favorite place to eat. I love the spaghetti. I always get it here.
Food was delicious. Everyone had a variety of dishes. Great service, absolutely no complaints.👍💪
I don't get it other than they're just a local family run restaurant which I support. their hot dog/spaghetti sauce is a same thing you can buy and a can at Walmart nothing special and completely bland.
A life long favorite of my family for 4 generations!Bradley is awesome.
They were so rude I left without eating...they act like that are doing you a favor by letting you eat there
Finally checked this place out and it did not disappoint! We got the spaghetti, a cheeseburger, and Boston cream pie. It was some of the best spaghetti I’ve ever had. The cheeseburger came on bread and was cooked like a grilled cheese, so good. Service was amazing and we loved the setting!
